Research Interests
I am interested in wildlife conservation, natural resource management, and ecological restoration. I continue to expand my interest through different research pursuits.
Background
I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona on an acre of desert land at the edge of town. Growing up I encountered snakes, tarantulas, various birds, and diverse species of plants. These up-close experiences allowed me to cultivate an intense appreciation for the natural world. What ultimately drove me to change my emphasis from creative writing to natural resources was my desire to make a lasting, tangible change in the world around me. I am keeping an open mind to the research and work I would like to pursue because I want to become a well-rounded individual, who follows their passions. In the future, I hope to combine wildlife conservation and management with education, compassion, and diversity.
