Education

BS Candidate, Department of Soil, Water and Environmental Science, University of Arizona 2011-Present

Current Project

Assisting Dawson Fairbanks, PhD student with: Microbiology in the Critical Zone: geomicrobiology, ‘hot spots and hot moments’, and ecosystem services in the Jemez River Basin/Santa Catalina Mountain Critical Zone Observatory

Research Interests

I am generally interested in environmental processes and subsequently the interdisciplinary subjects related to environmental science. The current research I am involved in includes observing microbial process controls in the context of biogeochemical and nutrient cycling. This includes a fundamental understanding of the functional role microorganisms have in response to changing environmental conditions and climate and how these responses influence ecosystem services in the critical zone.

Background

In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing video games, collecting comic book memorabilia, and practicing saxophone ☻
